Keep cool about earthquake swarms

In News, science
The recent flurry of media and internet excitement over this month’s earthquake swarm in Yellowstone reminded me of the interview with Professor of Geology Emeritus Bruno J. Giletti that appears at: http://www.yellowstonetreasures.com/supervolcano.htm.
In this interview, posted over a year ago, Dr. Giletti explains why we should not get overly excited when these swarms occur in a volcanically active region like Yellowstone, and he even counsels that: “There should be increased federal support for research into a possible supervolcano explosion.”
It happens that in the months since this interview was posted, the number and sensitivity of event-sensing instruments (seismometers) has been increased. Thus, the Yellowstone Volcano Observatory has improved its capability of warning the country of potentially catastrophic events around Yellowstone. The observatory’s information about the earthquake swarm can be accessed at: "Yellowstone Earthquake Swarm Summary"
I’m not losing sleep over this earthquake swarm.
