More about Yellowstone Treasures’ Third Edition

I’m recently back home after my trip to New York, where the third edition of Yellowstone Treasures was honored as a finalist in the Travel category of the annual Benjamin Franklin Awards. This was the twenty-second year of the Independent Book Publishers Association’s awards, and I’m proud that my book won the silver award in a competition open to all publishers. A major theme at this year’s IBPA Publishers’ University was the subject of e-books, the different types of readers and formats needed for them, and where the market for them is heading.
I hope that people who enjoy reading on a Kindle or other form of pocket reader are aware that Yellowstone Treasures is available in several formats for reading on these devices. Although only the PDF version will give you the color that appears throughout the book, it is surely true that while you’re in the park, carrying any version of these has got to be handier than toting a book that weighs a pound and a half. For how and where to download the e-book, see: http://www.yellowstonetreasures.com/guidebook.htm#pubdata.
Just for the record, there is another way to have just the information about the geyser basins in your pocket: all the geyser basin maps and information from the big book is packed into a 48-page booklet called Visiting Geyserland and available for $5.95 either from our Web site’s Guidebook page: http://www.yellowstonetreasures.com/guidebook.htm, or at visitor centers in Yellowstone.
And while I’m talking about Yellowstone Treasures’ recent successes, on May 31 its Amazon best-seller ranking was 1220—out of the millions of books Amazon sells. A big thank you to all my readers who tell others about how the book adds to their enjoyment of Yellowstone!
