The Guidebook : Awards

 

  • book coverYellowstone Treasures won the Gold award, first place in the Travel–Guides category, in ForeWord Magazine's 2002 Book of the Year Awards. A jury of librarians and booksellers selects the top three entries from a pool of 8-10 finalists in each category, "based on editorial excellence and professional production as well as the originality of the narrative and the value the book adds to its genre." Their awards announcement ceremony was held at Book Expo America in Los Angeles on May 30, 2003.



  • The guidebook also achieved finalist status in the 2003 Independent Publisher Book Awards, Travel–Guidebook category. Independent Publisher magazine started this contest to honor "the year's best independently published titles." The 2003 Independent Publisher Book Awards results are posted on the Independent Publisher Web site and were also presented at the 2003 Book Expo America.
