Dear Visitor,
Welcome to the Yellowstone Treasures Web site, which shares with you the diversity of marvelous treasures found in America's first national park. Here we suggest features you might want to visit and short hikes to take on a trip to Yellowstone. You'll see photographs of many of Yellowstone's treasures, including geysers and hot pools, wildlife and flowers, the incomparable Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, and Yellowstone Lake (its sunrise photo below is by Leslie Kilduff).
Geological explanations will help you find out how Yellowstone got the way it is now and why so many wondrous features are concentrated in one place.
For seven years, this Web site has been bringing you information that supplements and introduces you to my guidebook, Yellowstone Treasures: The Traveler's Companion to the National Park, now in an updated second edition. This comprehensive guidebook tells you everything you'll see along the roads, provides descriptions of trails, and explains the history and science behind both famous and little-known park features. You'll find over 200 photos and maps. For more information, select the Guidebook link below or on the front page.
We hope you enjoy the words and pictures of Yellowstone Treasures. They represent a lifelong involvement with and love for this park.
Best wishes,| Home | Guidebook | Search/Site Map |
